Welcome to Dan F. Long Middle School! Home of the Mighty Falcons!

My name is Jose Ramos and it is my privilege to serve as the Principal of Long Middle School. In my 18^th year in Education, I have served as a teacher assistant, teacher, assistant principal, and principal. I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Crime & Justice Studies from the University of Texas at Dallas, a Master of Education in Administration from Texas A&M-Commerce University, and a Doctor of Philosophy in Education with an emphasis on Emergent Bilinguals (EBs) from Southern Methodist University.

I am married to my beautiful wife Monique and have two precious daughters, Monroe and Syler. I try to instill in our students the motto…
