Choir

Welcome to the Dan F. Long Middle School Choral Department, home of the Falcon Choir!  We are excited to welcome our award-winning students to a safe and enjoyable environment in which all students can grow as musicians and singers.  Our students focus on music reading and performance, as well as an emphasis on teamwork and working together to reach a common goal.  The self-discipline and self-esteem inspired by this environment will help students to succeed both in and out of the classroom. 

Students are taught the basics of musical sight-reading, correct singing and performance technique.  We study a variety of musical literature spanning different time periods, cultures, and genres and will demonstrate musical knowledge and growth through performance and competition.

Being in choir creates more that just good singers, it creates the BEST people!
